The dancer and choreographer Moncef Zebiri took over as director of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Rillieux-la-Pape (CCNR) on July 1, 2025.
His project, entitled Le BLOCK, aims to open a new chapter where dance and urban practices become driving forces for inclusion, expression, and pride in identity. Le BLOCK is envisioned as a “home” open to the residents of Rillieux-la-Pape, to professionals from the choreographic field, and more broadly to everyone moved by dance.
In this spirit, Moncef Zebiri plans to develop festive and popular events that blend amateur projects with professional creations. The CCNR building, which reopened to the public in early 2025, now hosts Le BLOCK, bringing together five other artistic teams: Compagnie Relevant, IAAL, La Fougue, Lignes urbaines, and Les Alchimistes.
