Born in Léguéma, Burkina Faso, Salia Sanou joined Mathilde Monnier’s company at the National Choreographic Centre of Montpellier in 1993. With Seydou Boro, he co-founded the company Salia nï Seydou, La Termitière CDC and the Dialogues de corps biennale. Founder of Mouvements Perpétuels, he is an Officer and Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters. He has been Director of the National Choreographic Centre of Nantes since January 1, 2026.
