Éric Martin
After more than ten years of figure skating, Éric Martin began dancing at the age of nineteen, first encountering modern jazz with Redha and Bruno Agati.
Philippe Decouflé hired him for Triton in 1990. This was followed by an ongoing collaboration. He participated in the 1992 Olympic Games ceremonies, Petites Pièces Montées, Decodex, Shazam!, Contact, Wiebo, Parade d’Hermès, and various short films and commercials.
As an outside observer, he worked with Philippe Decouflé on L’Autre Défilé (2006) and Octopus (2011). On Panorama (2012), he was both choreographic assistant and in charge of coordinating costumes and sets.
In 2016, alongside Philippe Decouflé, he participated in the creation of Watashi-Wa Shingo, a Japanese musical inspired by a manga by Kazuo Umezu. At the same time, he has collaborated with Carnets Bagouet and choreographers Vincent Dupont, Christian Rizzo, and Mathilde Monnier.
Since 2018, he has been collaborating with Marta Izquierdo – Cie Lodudo on three pieces: Imago go, Guerillères, and Roll, as well as a roller-skating solo, Flip (2024).
In 2020, he choreographed the street performance Queen a man by Cie O captain mon capitaine.
