Géométrie Variable

Géométrie Variable exposes bodies to gravity at 360°. Situated at the threshold of the possibilities offered by bodies in motion, the piece fosters an aesthetic of hyperform, playing with geometric aesthetics through sharp movements to create a unique and avant-garde character, a new type of dance.

Drawing on hip hop dance, Géométrie Variable invades the field of architecture. It develops immersive scenographic devices and elaborates movements that alter gravity. Géométrie Variable invents gestures to discover “unknown spaces.”

Created in 2015 as part of the Villette Street Festival, Golden Stage has become, over the years, an unmissable event for hip hop dance, a stage where the best French and international crews challenge each other with formats combining performance and creation, all hosted by a master of ceremonies to preserve the spirit of hip hop culture and its energy.
