Sourire de Fauves, Opus 2
Sourire de fauves, Opus 2, is part of “Etcétéra…Une chronique de la danse vue par Andrea Sitter”, a collection of dance extracts, relating great choreographies of the Twentieth Century.
“To be able to define my work better, I needed an image.
I see a large plain, the different solos represent electric poles that I connect to each other by a conductive wire, exploiting with the dancers the vocal, theatrical and choreographic paths.
Throw light on a few dance masterpieces, fly over the 20th century like a bird denouncing the folly of humankind, tell tales without borders and claim ‘the smile, the ultimate form of resistance’ (Valeska Gert).”
