Tam Tam
As a tribute to Senegalese choreographer and anthropologist Féral Benga, whose dream in the 1930s was to create a company composed of African dancers, Tam Tam strives to recreate the artist’s world without telling his story. And we feel and experience the warmth. The undulating bodies allow the audience to savor the influences of traditional African dances. Four dancers trace curves in space like infinite caresses, sensual movements of hips and wrists. James Carlès disregards territories and borders, feeding his work with the encounter of body languages. Tam Tam is also an original musical production based on the works of Erik Satie.
