Nowadays, there are many different forms of hip hop dance. Hip hop, rap, breakdancing, smurfing, b-boying, popping… How can we name the modes of expression of a culture that has been overused? In this proposal, the subject is dance with its vocabulary and grammar conjugated in the present and past tenses. Its origins and where it is headed, the changes and developments of this cultural revolution.

It is about understanding why “I dance,” a phenomenon that has been rooted in our society for several decades, and the lack of information about this movement among the younger generations is glaring. Initially, it was considered a fad, a passing trend, but passion prevailed over reason. A dance conference, performance, demonstration… It is a stone thrown into the pond, an update, a transmission of memory before it falls into oblivion.
