Dance program
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Grenade Group, Josette Baïz joins forces with (la)Horde, the collective at the head of the Ballet National de Marseille, and the Australian choreographer Lucy Guerin for a kaleidoscopic program in 3 pieces around the theme of revolt and the non-resignation of young people in relation to the current situation. Alternately carried away, facetious, rebellious, agitated, insubordinate, angry, the young dancers engage in each piece with powerful energy. In How can we live together? by Lucy Guerin, they share her reflection on the evolution of the social body, between formalism and confusion, submission and resistance. They slip into Room With a View, emblematic piece of the (LA)HORDE collective, to express all the revolt of youth, their insubordination, their imagination in the face of chaos. And, like a thread stretched between the two works, the creation of Josette Baïz from 1982, 25e Parallèle, is reappropriated. A powerful cry to chart a new path.
